This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used and shared on this blog. As this blog is hosted on Blogger managed by Google, I have also attached links and copied relevant information you need to know from Google’s privacy policy which can be found here

 

DEFINITIONS: 

Cookies:  a small piece of data sent from a website stored on your computer while browsing. Click here to find out more about Cookies. 

 

User Agent: a software that acts on behalf of a user, such as a web browser that retrieves, renders and facilitates end user interaction with Web content- an example is HTTP.

 

IP Address: a logical numeric address that is assigned to electronic devices. It is a means of identifying devices and each device has a specific IP address.

 

App Instance IDInstance ID provides a unique ID per instance of your apps. An instance is a case or occurrence of anything. In computer technology, this could be an element, document type, or a document that conforms to a particular data type definition (DTD). It is used in apps mainly for security reasons. INTERPRETATION:

  • the singular includes the plural and vice versa 

  • including means "including without limitation"

  • reference to statutes include any modification or amendment of the statutes. 

  • I, me or my refers to Esterella. 


SCOPE OF THE PRIVACY POLICY:

  1. This privacy policy applies to this website and the users of this website. It does not apply to any other websites accessed through Esterella including any links to social media. 

 

PERSONAL INFORMATION:

  1. When you visit this blog, some information is automatically collected, such as cookies, your IP address and user agent and performance and security metrics. By using this blog, you consent to this information being collected.

 

HOW YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION IS USED:

A cookie is stored on your computer so that I know that you have acknowledged the pop-up and the site knows not to show it again.

Affiliate links are links where I may receive a small commission if you use the link at no extra cost to you. Some links on this blog are affiliate links by automation, which may generate commission.   3. Disqus is used as a commenting system for blog posts and uses cookies. You can access their privacy policy here.

  4. I have no control over the privacy policies of third parties and am not liable for their privacy practices. 

 

DATA THAT IS GIVEN TO US BY YOU:

I may have to share information to comply with the law, or other lawful requests for information.


KEEPING DATA SECURE:

  1. Data is stored on secure servers by Google. I assume no responsibility for any potential loss, copy or transfer of the data on these servers.

DATA RETENTION:

GOOGLE ANALYTICS:

  1. I use Google analytics to understand how my blog is used - this includes anonymous data on the average time a user has spent on my blog, demographics and which sections of my blog were accessed. 

 

  1. Google Analytics tracks data about the visitors to my blog by using identifiers like cookies and app instance IDs to measure user interactions with my blog. IP addresses are used to provide and protect the security of the service, and to give me a sense of where in the world my users come from. The data by Google Analytics is purely for personal use to better understand the audience of my blog is not shared with anyone aside from Google AdSense to better understand the way ads are displayed and perform on my website and to personalise ads experience. Users can opt out of ad personalisation at any time (see the information I have included under the subheading AdSense in this page).

GOOGLE ADSENSE:

  1. This site uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. These are advertisements shown by Google of which I may receive a small income from any impressions or clicks generated from this blog. Google AdSense collects information about views and interactions with ads to provide reports to advertisers, including information on whether their ad was displayed on this blog and whether the ad was likely seen by a viewer. Google may also measure other interactions, such as how you move your mouse over an ad or if you interact with the page on which the ad appears.

SUBSCRIPTION SERVICES: 

  1. Mailchimp is the subscription service used by my blog to email you updates if you are subscribed. If you are subscribed, then you have entered your email address. Your email address is collected and safely stored by Mailchimp. I do not share these details with anyone. Please note I do not have any control of their privacy practices and am not liable for them.   1. I may reasonably transfer my rights under this privacy policy where I reasonably believe your rights will not be affected

  2. This agreement is governed and interpreted by the law of England and Wales. All disputes will be subject exclusively to the jurisdiction in England and Wales.
