A little motivation...

It is no secret that things aren't the easiest at the moment (one look at the news along with whatever you may have going on in your personal life is enough to realise that). It can be really easy to lose hope or feel stuck. I am not going to state that we are currently in an ideal situation - we aren't. But, at the moment, perspective and the way we choose to see things is so important and can massively change the way we feel.

That doesn't mean we won't have moments where we will feel down - that is normal. I am just here to provide some of the motivation that I think will be helpful (also to myself because I am a normal human being that also sometimes ends up in a slump :) ).

Nothing last forever.

This difficult situation will be over at some point. No matter how long it feels. Although it may feel at moments like it is just hardship after hardship, this will eventually end. Everything is temporary and there are better times ahead. Those happier moments will be worth the wait.

Now more than ever is a real test of our characters and who we are as people.

I am trying to trick my mind into seeing this as a mind game (I am absolutely not stating this as a don't take the situation seriously - that is far from the point I am trying to make). Not letting the difficulties life throws at us win and not giving up. Can we carry on being kind, not losing hope in situations which are uncertain and far from ideal? Show the world and better even, yourself that you can deal with hard situations well. That you can continue no matter what life throws at you. You have got this. We have got this.

The world is on pause.

I don't think there has ever been a time before where everything has stopped. Normal life has been put on hold. Whilst that can feel very scary, it also gives us a time to stop, take a breather. Really focus on looking after ourselves and our mental health. Recharge and take a step back to then reconnect.

We all need to help each other out, especially at the moment  - we are in this together. Stay safe and let's try and see this as a time to take things slower. To recharge - to reflect, to rethink without the pressure of as many commitments. As difficult as the situation is, we will spend more time by ourselves and this is a chance to reconnect with ourselves. Maybe in some way a break we did not even know we needed.

Help keep me going 🙂
